The TRIO SSS Summer Academy is a cornerstone of our commitment to academic excellence and student success. This intensive and exciting, five-week residential bridge program is meticulously designed for incoming freshmen seeking to cultivate the scholarly and personal skills necessary to thrive in a rigorous university environment and ultimately thrive in life. Participants are invited to immerse themselves in the collegiate experience, moving beyond standard orientation to engage in high-level academic, professional development and build a network of support. By bridging the gap between high school and higher education, our TRiO SSS scholars enter the fall semester with a distinct competitive advantage.

Program Details & Commitment

The TRiO SSS Summer Academy operates on a structured schedule that emphasizes academic rigor during the week while respecting family and personal commitments. 

• Program Duration: June 28, 2026 – July 31, 2026.
• Weekly Structure: Residential programming occurs Sunday evening through Friday afternoon; students return home for weekends. Out-of-state students only may have alternative arrangements.
• Eligibility: Exclusive to incoming first-year students who meet TRiO eligibility requirements.
• Application Cycle: Applications for the 2026 cohort will officially open in February 2026.
