The Chen Art Gallery at Ƶ will present “Eyes in the Forest,” an exhibition of recent paintings by artist Barbara Neulinger (Florence, Mass.). The exhibition will run from Jan. 22 to Feb. 20.

Neulinger is an American painter whose work explores perception, nature, and the shifting relationship between inner experience and the material world. Her paintings evoke states of suspension and immersion, drawing viewers into spaces where light, structure, and organic forms intersect.

Neulinger earned a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture and Design at Indiana University, Bloomington, where she held an associate instructor teaching fellowship. She received her BS in Art with a minor in Art History from Skidmore College, where she was awarded the Jesse Solomon Award for Excellence in Painting. She was also awarded a full scholarship to attend the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

The artist will discuss her work at the reception at approximately 4:30 p.m. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
