2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

The Elihu Burritt Library announces a special symposium commemorating the 215th anniversary of Elihu Burritt: abolitionist, pacifist, linguist, global reformer, and the namesake and patron of the university library.

Featured speakers will be John Loughery, Robert Wolff, and Rod Skinner, a descendant of Burritt. Loughery, author of the recently published Burritt biography, "A Radical Vision: The Life and Times of Elihu Burritt, Abolitionist, Pacifist, and Linguist," will sign copies of his book.
