BACKGROUND

 

Verdicchio do Matelica is the counterpart of Verdicchio di Jesi. The small area of production of the wine is found between the pre-Apennines and the Umbria-Marches Apennines. The elements that give this wine its personality and particular qualities are: the soil - a prehistoric marine basin, the thick, sloping vegetation and the cool micro-climate protected from sea winds.
