TASTING NOTES
This wine shows a pale yellow color, with intense aromas of fresh fruit and flowers, light vanilla note. A rich and smooth taste with a good persistence.
BACKGROUND
According to Greek geographer Strabo, the city of Brindisi has been a city of viticulture since antiquity and was founded by settlers from the Cretan capital Knossos in 16th century BC. Cantina Sampietrana is a Cantina Sociale with just over 60 members and has been making fine Salento wines since 1952. They remain honest to their traditions as well as adapting to new techniques. The cellar is located in the historic village of San Pietro Vernotica which lies twixt Brindisi & Lecce.
