TASTING NOTES
A blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Aromas of spice and red fruit balanced by fine, elegant tannins. Should be decanted before serving.
BACKGROUND
Rustenberg’s history goes back over 300 years during which time they have transformed themselves from a distinguished producer on the local scene to a new era South African standard setter on the international stage. Rustenberg were featured in September 07 Decanter magazine as one of 3 ‘Icon’s of tomorrow’ of South Africa. Continual vineyard improvements overseen by viticulturist, Nico Walters, and the stunning winery where winemaker Adi Badenhorst performs, are complemented by a state of the art storage facility (over half of which is underground) and a stylish Cellar Door sales and tasting area. The vision of owner Simon Barlow - “absolute passion and total dedication to quality in both the vineyard and cellar” - drives the team to produce a world class range.
