TASTING NOTES
The fullest and sturdiest of all Beaujolais packed with flavour fully mature.
BACKGROUND
The 200 year old Monrozier estate is situated on the northern edge of the Fleurie appellation. The vineyard comprises only 1/2 hectare of Moulin à Vent. The wine is made in the same rather old-fashioned way, the wine resting in old barriques and foudres for up to two years before bottling. This does not impart a particularly oaky flavour, but matures the wine in a slightly gentler way than the more usual stainless steel vats. Unusually the domaine prefers to sell this wine with some bottle age; this is now at it's peak but also can be kept for a few years.
