TASTING NOTES
Pure mineral tones on the nose give way to citrus and tropical fruit with fresh, zippy acidity and with a long, flinty finish. Try with delicate fish dishes.
BACKGROUND
Situated to the east of the loir valley, within spitting distance from Bourges lies the quaint village of Morogues, with its fields, medows and slopes surrounding its very beautiful church. Even though wine has been produced here for years, Morogues was only credited an appellation in 1959. Wine makers Anne Pelle and Julien Zernott practice organic and traditional winemaking method’s. The vines grow in Kimmeridgean clay-limestone soils made up of myriads of minute fossilized oyster shells called locally “terre blanche” or white soil.
