TASTING NOTES
"Big, broad-shouldered wine, with muscular layers of black fig, coffee, bittersweet cocoa and dark licorice piled on top of the hefty cedar-tinged tannins. A bit of a brute in style, but cellaring will soften its edges enough.
BACKGROUND
Now into the fourth generation, Bosca’s invaluable years of experience are clear with its four wine ranges, Finca La Linda, Luigi Bosca Reserva, the Gala Collection and Finca Los Nobles, each reflecting a consistent and superior quality, individuality, and the utmost attention to detail. At the same time, Bosca's continuous quest to raise the standard of excellence through innovation and experimentation has made it a model for Argentine wineries. With so much to say about Luigi Bosca, we can therefore only focus on the winery’s most exciting recent news. The 2006 Gala 3, a brilliantly balanced blend of Chardonnay, Viognier and Riesling, was the proud recipient of one of but nine trophies awarded by such prestigious names as Jancis Robinson M.W., Oz Clarke and Anthony Rose at the first annual Argentine Wine Awards. This year also sees the Luigi Bosca Reserva range in a whole new light; with a complete packaging overhaul. Reminiscent of their predecessors, the labels are fresher and more robust, with exquisite typography and a tactile quality, acting as a true vehicle of expression for the wines in the bottle.
