TASTING NOTES
The colour is Garnet-red of high intensity and nice brilliance The nose has a fine, fruity, vanilla smell .On the palate the attack is very supple/soft, round and full, with fruity aromas. One can recognize the typical features of the Merlot grapes, come to full maturity on the gravely soil.
BACKGROUND
Château les Graves de Cantereau is a small vineyard on the gravelly plateau of Pomerol. This soil type has also given the name to the Chateau. It forms part of the Cap de Merle estate. Château Cap de Merle is a family estate located in Lussac, just north of Saint-Emilion. In the Spring of 1966 Roland Bel acquired a small vineyard of 3 hectares: The Chateau Cap de Merle. Today the domain comprises 25 hectares. Alain and Jean Marie manage the company and selling their wines directly through their own international network.
