TASTING NOTES
A floral and tropical nose with infusions of clove. Fat and round on the palate with lemon and ginger marmalade flavours. A complex and intriguing wine.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Michel Juillot consists of about thirty hectares, of which more than half are to be found in the Mercurey appellation. Laurent Juillot took over from his father in 1994 and has continued to produce some of the most stylish, refined examples of Mercurey, Bourgogne Rouge and Corton-Charlemagne. This is without doubt the top estate in Mercurey. The wines are very individual, each expressing a different vineyards character, while retaining the restraint and elegance that typifies Laurent’s approach.
