TASTING NOTES
A blend of Bourboulenc, Grenache, Roussanne and Marsanne. A wine that blends four varieties for more complexity. The pale yellow aspect reveals an elegant bouquet of rose, acacia and spices. Lively and balanced, the wine will complement grilled fish with fennel or sauce, grills and white meats and is perfect with a warm goats cheese starter or special dishes like sushi and bouillabaisse.
BACKGROUND
The Château d’Anglès enjoys ideal wine growing conditions. The vines bask in 300 days of sunshine and benefit from the sea’s cool breezes. And it is the surrounding vegetation of the ‘garrigue’, including pines, thyme, rosemary, juniper and the aromatic plants which contribute the aromas that give the wines of the Terroir de La Clape their specifically Mediterranean flavour.
Proprietor Eric Fabre has spent his entire life making wine. His career includes eight years as Technical Director of Château Lafite Rothschild, as well as taking a much lesser known Médoc label to the highest accolades in only 6 years. Without a doubt, his creations at Château d’Angles are his best work yet.
