Failoni cantina is a family-owned company, it is located in Staffolo, a medieval village build in the twelfth century which is situated in the rolling hills of the Marche countryside a short distance from the sea and at the foot of the Umbria Marche.
The farm of 20 hectares is located at the source of Cesola, a tributary of the Esino, in a valley characterized by an optimal microclimate for the cultivation of grapes and olives.
Since 1990, thanks to their passion for the land, linking tradition and innovation, cantina Failoni produce oil and wines typical of the Marche. The grapes are de-stemmed and left to ferment with the skins in temperature controlled vats. After fermentation, when all sugars have been transformed into alcohol by the yeast, the grapes are gently pressed using a horizontal press. Failoni Rosso Piceno DOC is aged for 12 month in oak casks on its lees and then it is bottled without filtration.
