TASTING NOTES
Aromas of cassis, coffee and tobacco. Aromas follow onto the palate with lovely soft tannins and a medium body.
BACKGROUND
Chateau Talbot is believed to be named after the Earl of Shrewsbury, John Talbot who was an octogenarian soldier sent by King Henry VI to prevent the French revolution. Possibly not the best move on King Henry’s part however, Talbot is said to have gone into battle without any amour having sworn to never where arms against the French after being released from captivity by them previously. Talbot subsequently was killed on the battlefield and was defeated. The English army eventually fled and Bordeaux belonged to France once more.
