TASTING NOTES
It has a richer, more wood dominated character than other Grands Crus. In the mouth it is full bodied, richly textured with superb vinosity. Cellar potential up to 2012.
BACKGROUND
Bernard Billaud's son Samuel is now in charge of winemaking and, judging by the number of "jeunes talents" winemaking trophies bearing his name in the tasting room, the wine is in very good hands. Certainly the quality seems to get better and better, and Billaud-Simon continues to rank amongst the finest of Chablis producers, making wines of complexity, delicacy and balance.
