TASTING NOTES
Powerful, ripe fruit with spicy aromas and balsamic intensity. Complex, with hints of cocoa, damsen and a touch of vanilla with a long, elegant finish.
BACKGROUND
One of the pioneers of Ribera del Duero, Bodegas Perez Pascuas is also one of the region’s most prestigious estates. Its well-established vineyards give it a head start of up to half a century on other estates in the area. Indeed, even their youngest vines have grown too old for a Tinto Joven, and now go into the wonderfully concentrated Cepa Gavilan which receives 12 months in oak. Huge care is taken in the ageing process to make sure that the wines show perfect integration and harmony, and the result is a range that, from top to bottom, shows refinement, depth, mouth-filling fruit and drinkability.
