TASTING NOTES
Bright, golden yellow in colour with aromas of blackcurrent, pear and cloves. It is a wonderful, light fruity and sweet wine with good acidity and a spiced finish.
BACKGROUND
Schuerebe is a cross between Silvaner and Riesling and is celebrated as one of the best new varieties Germany has to offer. When ripe, it makes wonderfully aromatic wines with great concentration of fruit. When harvested too early it can be too herbaceous with “cat’s-pee” aromas.
