What is Essentially Wine’s Dusted Dozen?

Our Dusted Dozen is a wine subscription service that delivers 12 bottles of wine to your door at regular intervals. The wines we select on your behalf are tailored to your tastes and delivered at a frequency, date, and time chosen by you.
If you enjoy wine, but cannot seem to find the time to trawl through our wine list, then our Dusted Dozen is for you. We’ll put together a dozen wines to suit your budget and palate -- including a couple to test your taste buds. Essentially Wine’s Dusted Dozen makes a great gift too!

How does Dusted Dozen Work?

When you signup, we’ll ask you a few simple questions to determine your wine tastes, likes, and dislikes. We’ll then ask you your required frequency of delivery and your budget. Once the registration is complete, there’s nothing further for you to do except enjoy the wines we deliver to you. We’ll debit your credit card each month on delivery, and you may cancel your subscription at any time.

There is a minimum order of 12 bottles per quarter to qualify for a Dusted Dozen subscription, although we are able to dispatch cases more frequently if this is required.

What does it cost?

There are three options from which to choose:

Cedar Case, £99 -- Our entry level case containing everyday drinking wine;
Oak Case, £149 -- Our mid-priced case containing a fine selection of wines;
Mahogany Case, £199 -- Our top selection of fine wines;

Quality Guarantee

Each bottle comes with Essentially Wine’s quality guarantee. In the event you are dissatisfied with any wine for any reason just return the bottle and we’ll replace or exchange it with something of equal or higher value. We will also credit or refund the cost of any unopened bottles returned in saleable condition within 30 days of delivery. All wines are delivered in strong double walled cardboard transit packaging.

If you’re looking for a way to entertain guests, or you just want an excuse for a get-together with old friends, why not consider hosting an Essentially Wine Private Tasting. No doubt you’ve heard about our regular wine tasting events. But have you thought about hosting one in the comfort of your own home or venue? Essentially Wine offers tailored private wine tastings, to suit your needs and budget.

Birthday and anniversary celebrations and gift ideas

Essentially Wine Private Tastings are a great way to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary, and even make a special gift. So if you’re wondering what to give “the person that has everything”, now you know. Our tastings make great pre-dinner events as well.

We do: Wine Demystified Tastings; Champagne Tastings; Classed Growth Bordeaux Tastings; New World Wine Tastings; Burgundy Tastings; Italian Tastings; Spanish Tastings; Eastern European Tastings; Bespoke Tastings; and many more.

How do they work?

Essentially Wine Private Tastings are held at your home, office, or chosen venue. We agree with you a chosen wine list of up to eight wines, depending on your requirements and budget, and we source the wine. During the tasting we will introduce and talk about each wine and its origin in an informative and interactive way. Typically, our private tastings last between 1½ to 2 hours. We provide ISO tasting glasses, spittoons, decanters, aerators, corkscrews, ice buckets, and ice. Whilst we are happy to provide wines from our normal list, our private wine tasting events are not limited to the wines we stock – we can source almost anything you wish. We do not try to sell you wine at our private events; we focus on entertaining you and your guests.

What does it cost?

Our prices start from £200 + wine. If you need caterers or room hire, we can arrange that too. We can even arrange a professional chef to cook you a gourmet meal in your own home.
