Essentially Wine Opens New Shop in Richmond upon Thames

Essentially Wine, the independent fine wine specialists and purveyors of wine accessories has opened its second retail store in Richmond upon Thames.

Essentially Wine’s new flagship retail shop in the London Borough has all the hallmarks of its Chipstead shop including our unique interior racking and design, high quality unique and unusual wines from around the world, and our superior customer service.  The new 150SqM store, over two floors, boasts a large 75SqM ground floor retail store and is double the size of the Chipstead shop.  It incorporates a large tasting room for private functions and wine tasting events in the lower floor.  Ample street parking for customers is available directly outside the shop.

 

Located in the busy Kew Road at Richmond Circus just 5 minutes from the main shopping centre, Essentially Wine joins a host of small high quality independent retailers, bars, and restaurants.  Just a short walk from Richmond Railway station and a stone’s throw from the iconic Kew Gardens, this new retail investment marks a significant milestone in Essentially Wine’s history.
 

Stephen Forward, founding director of Essentially Wine says ‘Since our beginnings in 2004, our first shop in Chipstead in 2005, and our website launch in 2008, we have been studying Richmond as a potential site for our second shop.  This project has taken a year to plan and execute, and I am delighted with the results.  The support we’ve received from the local community since opening has been overwhelming.  I am passionate about supporting the smaller wine producer and vineyard and hopefully to inspire people to buy wine in a more bespoke, informative and personal environment, and I am delighted to be offering our wines and services to the Richmond community.’
