Most orders arrive before 4pm the day following dispatch. If you require an express delivery to arrive before a certain time this may be arranged, however a surcharge will apply for this service. Please call the shop for full details: (01737) 55 77 37.

We aim to dispatch orders that are in-stock within five working days of payment being accepted, however, in many cases orders are dispatched the following day.

Usually delivery is overnight on week days. Orders dispatched on Fridays will normally arrive on Monday. If you would like the delivery to arrive on a specific date, or on a Saturday, this can usually be arranged by calling the shop prior to placing your order, or shortly thereafter. Delivery is charged at £5.99 for orders under £100. For orders of £100 or more, delivery is free of charge for most parts of the United Kingdom. A surcharge of £10 for the Scottish Highlands and Islands will apply.

In line with distance trading regulations, we accept all products returned within 7 days in as-new condition. You are responsible for the costs of returning the product, unless the product is faulty.

When a product line is known to be out of stock the item is flagged in our catalogue view. However, you may still order this item if you so wish.
In the event that you order an item that is out of stock, we will place the item on back order and send it to you as soon as we have it back in stock.

You can pay using most credit and debit cards. We accept Visa, Visa Delta/Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, and Maestro.

Unfortunately we do not accept American Express or Diners Club.

VISA and MasterCard have created a higher standard of security for online card transactions, called Verified by VISA (“VBV”) and MasterCard SecureCode (“MCSC”) respectively.

When you make a purchase through our website using a VISA card or MasterCard, you will now be taken to the secure site of your card issuer and asked to verify your card details by confirming a password.
Once you have verified your card, you will automatically be brought back to the Essentially Wine site to complete your transaction.

Essentially Wine has no knowledge of, or access to, your VBV or MCSC password at any time, nor do we store your VBV or MCSC password on our servers. This is why you are asked to submit your password to your card issuer directly, over a secure link.

These verification processes provide an extra layer of protection when using credit cards online. As we take your card security very seriously, we want to provide the highest possible levels of security on our site.
